Dear Yogafriend, One day, long time ago, in 1963, I was in search of something which could make sense in my life. At 16 I was allready methaphysically oriented. A Yoga book, with the eight steps of Patanjali was before me on my desk. I did not understood the content, but clear white light was shining out of the book... Since that day I was hooked and became a practitioner, following my heart. The problem was that not one teacher was able to satisfy me, altough I tried many. So, I developped my own practice and checked that with the original scriptures. In 1979 I started teaching. That was the most beautiful day in my life. Yours friendly, Shri Yogacharya Ajita (Philippe Barbier) Director of The Raja Yoga Institute Co-founder and Member of the Core Group of Samenwerkende Yogadocenten Nederland Representative of Holland in the International Yoga Federation Honorary Secretary of the International Yoga Federation for the European Union President of the European Yoga Council Member of the European Yoga Alliance Member of the World Yoga Council
