why I came to yoga Can't Post

After spending approximately 20-25 years practicing and teaching karate, I felt the need for something more spiritual(something to give me more of a connection). I was drawn to Tai Chi Chuan rhe moment I saw it . Tai chi Chuan means grand ultimate fist. It is about discovering Chi or internal energy (prana in yoga). Once found the chi is cultivated using various methods of practice(forms, push hands and sword forms). The aim of this practice is not to cultivate chi but to use it as a tool for self realization. I practiced and taught tai chi for over 20 years (and still teach it). It was during my explorations into tai chi that I discovered yoga.I fell in love with yoga the moment I saw it practiced(asana and meditation. That was about 18 years ago, and I am still practicing and teaching.
