autobiography of a yogi Can't Post

Hi all,
has anyone read 'Autobiography of a Yogi' by Paramahansa Yogananda? I found it amazing, it put a lot of things into perspective for me.
Namaste, Carolyn.

Yes, I try to. I've been very moved and influenced by the performance version Peter Brook directed in Adelaide years ago. I struggle to read it. Which translation do you recommend?

Im a big fan of a translation by Swami Tapasyananda. I read commentaries occassionally, such as the one by Swami Sivananda, Gandhi and some other western writers. I havent read the one by Sri Yukteswar/Paramahamsa Yogananda yet but i heard that its very detailed and good.

I find it good to meditate for 5-10 mins then read a few slokas and then to close my eyes and think about what i read, what it means, criticise it if i can, think more and then finally get what it means....its absolutely amazing

I haven't heard of the book before, but since you all recommend it so much I'll try to find it at the library next time I go.
