Medication not helpful against stress. Please help Can't Post

My husband has diabetes and has got a very stressful working environment. He has started medication but they are not of much help. He gets stress about everything in life. It’s driving me nuts. If any of you have any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks a lot.

I think he should try stress relief patches. They are helpful and available from http://www.theramood.com/. It enhances serotonine levels and has a calming effect leaving you feel calm, relaxed, focused all day. He definitely needs a change in lifestyle and eating habits to cope up with the situation. Better wake him early in morning and encourage him for exercise and meditation. These would really help.

Have you considered NLP? Meditation can calm you, but may be what your husband needs is learn how to think positively and to do it effortlessly. What you know about NLP is probably mostly what you've heard from the success of The Secret but there's much more to it than that.

I've learned NLP through the meditation school I attend. If you've got a moment, you might like to check it out. Kind regards, Steve

Meditation can be helpful provided he is not spending the time trying to "solve" or "fix" the stresses in his life.

Instead you could encourage him to simply observe the mind and "let go" of the thoughts as they arise.

Alternatively he could use NLP techniques that deal directly with situations/people/patterns that cause people stress.
NLP has great tools for stress relief and relaxation.

The Abby Eagle's School of Meditation site that steve mentioned has information on nlp and meditation techniques used for relaxation and stress management.
Check that out and read up on NLP!
