Seeking advice with yoga philosophy Can't Post

I am practicing yoga now, in class.
I used to do yoga every day.
I started to lose weight. Then discovered it's great abilities in making me feel better, release anxieties and help with my depression.

I like to read alot of yoga philosophy i like what they have to say. I guess technically i am really supposed to be seeking inside myself for peace, not through the outside. but i am having trouble in one area.

Loneliness.
When i get lonely i find it hard to find my way out of the hole i sit myself in...
I have experience a very hard move across the U.S. and i want to find peace in the moment and not look outward, friends, but it's so hard to think back to times when they made me so happy. they brought me pleasure, they opened up my happiness. it was always there. and they opened it. so i dont know. i just want some advice if you can make anything of this i would love, absolutely love to hear from you.

I guess it is as if i am constantly seeking a replacement for what i used to have and i can never fulfill it because it meant so much to me.
i get low and feel like no method of meditation could ever clear my mind

help if you can <3 Sorry to be a bummer.

Re: [Arienette718] Seeking advice with yoga philosophy [In reply to] Can't Post

Dear Ariennette,
Grieve for what you've lost, and move back out for new adventures. If your path is to be in the world, then waiting for something to happen in meditation won't be the right place for you. But it's great to establish a regular practice. And reading yoga philosophy is great, but don't create expectations based on the philosophy, just stick to a basic practice and move on with your life.
Don't feel like you're being a bummer, there a alot of diffcult moments on the path for all of us.
namaste, Carolyn.
