Hi Shelly, my advice is be passionate about your own practise for a few more years otherwise when you come to teach you will find that you may be able to demonstrate to the class a perfect posture but you may not know how to help someone without your level of fitness, focus or flexibility. Years of practise takes you through various stages in your life and gives you the opportunity to work with your own body in it's fluctating levels of capability. How do you continue your practise when you are tired or stressed or pregnant or injured or how do you get back to it when you've unwilling let it go for a while, do you just barge through your limitations forcing your body to practise on the level you did at your peak or do you find ways to make it feel right and good for you. I practised Ashtanga yoga for 10 years before I started teaching and I'm thankful for that everytime I'm in class helping people with their issues.
